Course Overview
This intensive one-year Foundation programme provides you with a valuable introduction to a wide range of creative disciplines, allowing you to experiment before specialising in your chosen area.

By choosing this qualification you will perfect your skills and build a portfolio of artwork to support your application to a degree-level qualification. With a focus on innovation and creativity, this course bridges the gap between study at Level 3 and degree, enabling you to progress onto a range of prestigious, highly-competitive degree courses.

This course is designed to improve your opportunities when applying for university courses and is a stepping stone to a degree course.

On completion you will gain the following UCAS Tariff points: 80 for a Pass, 96 for a Merit and 120 for a Distinction.

Entry requirements
A combination of the following qualifications to meet the required UCAS points:
  • A-Level at grade C or above in Art or two AS Levels at grade C or above to include Art
  • Successful completion of BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art and Design
  • Successful completion of a GNVQ Level 3 qualification
